 Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional Certification

Level 1 Training class

The Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP) certification helps the Chesapeake Bay watershed by standardizing knowledge and practices of resilient stormwater management, the use of native plants, the establishment of natural communities, and the restoration of habitat.

Across the six states and District of Columbia in Bay watersheds, local governments, non-governmental organizations and neighborhoods are asking land owners and landscapers to increase the use of these small, residential-scale practices for a healthier Chesapeake Bay.

Gaining the CBLP credential will help landscape professionals connect with potential employers, and ultimately ensure that these practices function properly, in order to meet runoff, sediment, and nutrient reduction goals.

Please note, this certification is not offered by WSA directly, however WSA will be co-hosting this course in partnership with CBLP because we preferentially hire CBLP certified restoration professionals for our projects.

When: July 22-23, 2019

9am - 4pm

Where: Arlington echo outdoor EDUCATION center

975 indian landing road, Millersville, md 21108
