Become a Watershed Steward

Watershed Stewards serve Anne Arundel County communities by installing landscape projects that reduce pollution and organizing campaigns to encourage habits that make a difference. Collectively, these community-based actions reduce pollution at its source and improve the health of the entire Chesapeake Bay.

In addition to Steward training, participants receive additional training in Rainscaping, Environmental Education, and Community Engagement.

You don’t have to be an expert, we'll show you the way!  The Watershed Stewards Academy is a great opportunity to learn how to solve environmental problems in your community and find a local network of energized leaders. Our hands-on, research-based Certification Course gives Stewards the tools to implement change in their communities, turning knowledge into action.

We have completed recruitment for our 2024 class. For receive updates about the class we will offer in 2025, please fill out the interest form at the bottom of our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Becoming part of WSA moved me from talk to action and gave me a source of experts and support people to assist with action.
