Power to Motivate

a short course and mentoring program for congregations

Hosted by WSA and One Water Partnership, this short course and mentoring program assists lay leaders of all faith backgrounds to help their congregation members adopt habits that will help the environment. Over three sessions, participants learn and apply key social science concepts to create an outreach program that helps your congregation adopt a “Habit that Helps”.

Participants choose from one of the following habits:

  • Planting and caring for a tree

  • Planting and caring for native plants

  • Eating less meat

  • Using a clothesline or drying rack

  • Reducing use of plastic drink bottle or to go cup

  • Reducing use of plastic grocery bags

  • Reducing use of plastic utensils

*This program is ideal for people who want to meaningfully engage their congregation during this time of social distance.
