Pervious hardscapes are surfaces that allow water to infiltrate into the ground below. All kinds of hard surfaces, including pavers, asphalt, and concrete, can be designed to allow rainwater to pass through.
Pervious pavers are as functional and sturdy as asphalt or concrete. Small stones and sand fill the gaps between the pavers, allowing rainwater to soak into the gravel below.
