Saturday April 12th, 2025
Annapolis, MD
Saturday April 12th, 2025
New year, same place! Last year we had a huge impact, but there is more to be done. We are looking forward to getting our hands dirty and leaving this project better shape for the school and community!
LOCATION:
Mary Moss at J. Albert Adams Academy
245 Clay St, Annapolis, MD 21401
WHAT TO EXPECT:
You can expect to participate in: invasive removal, weeding, collecting fallen branches, and other general maintenance tasks. Each task will have a captain who knows what they are doing, so no worries if you are new to this! You should plan for rain or shine, and wear long sleeves and pants. We’ll be in touch with more details after you register.
After a morning of maintenance, we'll gather on the property for lunch and togetherness.
Agenda:
Maintenance from 9AM-12PM
Lunch 12-1PM.
PROJECT:
Chesapeake Ecology Center Native Plant Demonstration
Gardens & Groves
This project started in 2003, and was designed and implemented under the leadership of Zora Lathan, founder of the Chesapeake Ecology Center (CEC). The project was installed over several years with significant involvement from students, local environmental organizations including WSA, and community members. This would have been especially meaningful to Ann because it combines project maintenance with her love of children.
