Phragmites Work in Arlington Echo Marsh

The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) is in the middle of an experimental study on marsh restoration, focused on phragmites removal and native plantings! The research team, led by Dennis Whigham has reached a point of the study where they need some help! That's where WSA and friends come in.

The marsh next to our office location, Arlington Echo, has been one of the test sites. We have volunteers coming out on May 8th to help with the next phase of this exciting pilot experiment!
