How to Protect Local Waterways

REGISTER HERE

Wednesday, March 20th, 12:00 – 1:00 pm

In 2019, the Local Government Advisory Committee and Local Leadership Workgroup began work on a suite of learning materials that frame the Chesapeake Bay Program’s goals through the lens of a very important audience: local government officials. Elected officials make decisions for their communities that impact restoration progress. This past year, a second phase of work culminated in Protect Local Waterways, an online learning library chock full of resources about how environmental goals intersect with a thriving economy, resilient infrastructure, protected public health and safety, and improved education. While originally intended for local officials, the resources are valuable across audiences.

Join us on Wednesday, March 20th, to learn about the resources available and how to make the most of them.

Speakers:

  • Laura Cattell Noll, Local Government Initiative Director, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay

  • Shannon Moore, Energy & Environment Division Director, Frederick County, MD
