Earth Day Celebration – Free Shredding & Donations Needed

Parole Rotary of Annapolis will celebrate Earth Day, between 8:30 and 11:30am, at the Farmer’s Market on Harry Truman Pkwy in Annapolis. Volunteer organizations will be collecting items for local and international charities that Parole Rotary supports all year.

Confidential papers can be brought and given to Eco-Shred of Baltimore for shredding. Those donating papers can watch the attendant put their papers in the shredder, which is part of the truck. There is no cost for papers to be shredded.

The following items are needed:
- Pet supplies – to be donated to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County
- Laundry Detergent – to be donated to Just One Sweater
- Sweaters, Winter Coats – to be donated to Just One Sweater
- Bikes & Bike Parts – donated to the Carroll Creek Rotary (Frederick Rotary) for International charities
- Hearing Aides & Eyeglasses – distributed by local Lions Club
- Used Books – donated to Books for International Goodwill, a Rotary charity that sends books internationally and makes books available for sale to cover the costs of shipping books
- Computer Components & Lithium Batteries – for proper disposal

The Parole Rotary works year-round to raise funds for distribution to local and international charities through its relationships with Rotary Clubs around the world.
