We're excited to invite you to a family-friendly summer event on July 25th at your nearby Arden Park to celebrate International Bog Day and the Arden/Gumbottom Bog!  The goal of the event is to raise awareness about the Arden Bog and its value to wildlife, rare plants and the water quality of the Gumbottom Creek and Severn River. We are hoping you can join us, and we welcome your participation as Watershed Stewards if you want to set up a table or join one of ours. 

 The event is hosted by Underwood & Associates in partnership with Anne Arundel County Bureau of Watershed Protection and Restoration, the Center for Ecosystem Recovery and the Severn Riverkeeper.

Planned activities include unveiling a new interpretive sign for the bog, an interpretive hike on the trail, a demonstration to learn how to create a bog in your garden, orchid origami, a nature scavenger hunt, face painting, and more!
