The Magothy River Association cordially invites you to attend the annual State of the Magothy meeting on Friday, March 27, at Anne Arundel Community College in the Health and Life Sciences Building. Doors will open at 6:30 PM for viewing displays and exhibits, Presentations will begin at 7:00 PM. The evening will feature Dr. Sally Hornor, who will present the Magothy River Index, a report on the health and water quality of the river. We will also hear from Jeffrey Horne, a DNR Fisheries biologist, who will discuss his work regarding finfish in the Magothy.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to "duck in" and meet the MRA volunteers who are even in this cool weather protecting and preserving the Magothy River and its watershed for future generations to enjoy. Check out this wonderful picture of a healthy pocket wetlands along the south shore with some unique pyramid shaped snow covered "Muskrat" houses.
