CRC Roundtable - How Inclusive Recreation Fuels Chesapeake Bay Restoration

Casting a Wider Net: How Inclusive Recreation Fuels Chesapeake Bay Restoration

CHESAPEAKE RESEARCH CONSORTIUM

Successful restoration in the Chesapeake Bay takes more than policy and science – it takes people! When outdoor recreation is welcoming to everyone, it builds a broader base of stewards invested in the health of local waterways and the Bay. What does this look like in practice? Hear from two groups who are engaging underrepresented communities in outdoor activities that range from hiking to urban gardening to fly fishing; there are endless avenues for fueling a passion for the Bay watershed and turning that passion into environmental progress.

Join us on June 17th from 12-1pm to learn more about the impact that inclusive recreation can have on restoration.
