During this month’s What’s Happening in Winter? session, Kerry Wixted - ecologist and self-proclaimed nature nerd - will explore Should I Stay or Should I Go? How Maryland’s Wildlife Deals with Winter. She’ll dive into what wildlife does when colder weather sets in: who stays and toughs it out, who hibernates, and who heads for warmer places. Kerry will also touch on the clever strategies and adaptations animals use to survive winter, how some of these patterns are changing, and what we can do to help wildlife through the colder months.
