Anne Arundel Recreation & Parks is dedicated to providing recreational programs for residents and managing over 160 parks and natural areas within the county. This May, they are offering several programs to help residents find peace in nature.
This program is centered around Shinrin-Yoku, the art of Japanese forest bathing:
“As part of our mindfulness series, join an Association of Nature and Forest Therapy certified guide for a walk along the trails of South River Farm Park to learn to engage the senses and appreciate the benefits of being immersed in a natural environment. Slowing down and spending mindful time in nature is proven to regulate your blood pressure, increase immunity, and reduce production of stress hormones. Expect to feel relaxed, refreshed, and connected to nature after this guided walk.”
