Join Scenic Rivers Land Trust (SRLT) in Crownsville to spend a morning removing harmful invasive plants from the trails!

They’ll focus on removing invasive vines, shrubs, and grasses that threaten vegetation at all levels of the forest from the ground up into the forest canopy.

Volunteers will be trained in how to identify and remove these plants and will be working on designated trail sections.

Work gloves and tools will be provided by SRLT, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own gear.

To participate, volunteers must:

• be 16 years or older to attend without a supervising adult

• be able to hike up to 1 mile

• wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, and closed toed shoes

• bring a water bottle
