Unity Gardens - 2027 Annual Spring Lecture

  • Our Lady of the Chesapeake 8325 Ventnor Road Pasadena, MD, 21122 United States (map)

Featuring University of Maryland Extension’s Native Plant Specialist Lisa Kuder, the lecture will focus on the unique aspects of gardening with native plants in the Maryland Coastal Plains ecoregion. The talk will expand on the topics covered in the soon to be released guidebook – “Maryland Native Plant Guide: Maryland Coastal Plains.” As one of the key developers of this guide and it’s companion guides for the Piedmont region (published in 2025) and the Mountain region (coming in 2027), Lisa is a native plant expert who partners with state agencies to advance policy, works with industry retailers/wholesalers and distributes information to the public to support increased demand for, use of, and sale of native plants in Maryland.

The event will be held at Our Lady of the Chesapeake in Pasadena Maryland from 9 a.m. to noon. More details to follow. Sponsorship details will be available this Fall and tickets will go on sale in late December/early January. For now - just save the date and add it to your list of things to look forward to!
